Joanna is a painter, photographer and sculptor. She focuses on depicting structures which are hard to define, spaces of ambiguous identity. The landscapes she paints resemble labyrinthine networks that have their own inner logic. She draws inspiration from literature, particular places and objects such as sanatorium fountains, underground corridors leading to the Centre of the Earth, abandoned swimming pools or hidden crater lakes.
